Search for at least one example of each M&A type that have occurred in the last three years. USA corporations preferred.
Write a minimum of 700-word paper or 8- to 16-slide presentation, with speaker notes, in which you summarize the selected types of M&A’s in Week 1.
Include the following for each M&A you select:
- What are predominant issues driving a company’s interest in pursuing M & A activities?
- What has been the total value of M&A activities in the two years?
- What were the values of each of the business combinations you discussed?
- Summarize trends for your five selected activities apparent from your research.
- Discuss any antitrust issues associated with your mergers.
- Discuss the advantages and disadvantages of the friendly versus hostile approach to a corporate takeover.
