There have been decades of debate about the pros and cons of child care for children. The 60’s & 70’s brought us major social change and an increase in women in the work force, and in the 80’s we saw an increase in the number of single parents due to the rise in divorce rates, leaving the U.S. with a growing need for child care for working parents. Please review the text and articles and share what you think about child care and its impact on children. I would also like you to reflect on why you think the way you do. What has influenced your thoughts most and why (ex. experience, family beliefs, childhood experiences, research, media, etc.)?
