Case Study – Parkinson’s Disease
T.R. is a 79 year-old male diagnosised with Parkison’s
Disease 5 years ago. Initially he was treated with selegiline 10 mg PO with
breakfast and lunch. He presents to the clinic with an increase in tremors, paranoia,
and increase aggressive behavior towards his caregiver. He is given the
following prescriptions:
· Decrease
selegiline to 5mg PO with breakfast and lunch.
· Start
carbidopa-levodopa 25-100mg PO three times a day.
· Amantadine
100mg PO dailty
· Follow-up in
the clinic in one week.

short-term (during the visit) and a long-term (before next visit) SMART goal
for the patient?
4. What is the
classification, action, and therapeutic effect (reason) for each medications?

7. Would an
