Imagine you are on a team at your workplace and have identified a new best practice to implement.

– Identify a new best practice to implement

– Describe the steps of implementing this new practice.

– Research on your own about how change comes about in your workplace, check your policies and procedures and may need to talk with a supervisor with experience in this area.

– Support your thoughts on why you think a change needs to occur. This should be done by using the literature to validate. This is where you will focus your peer reviewed references.

Minimum of four (4) total references: two (2) references from required course materials and two (2) peer-reviewed references. All references must be no older than five years (unless making a specific point using a seminal piece of information)

Peer-reviewed references include references from professional data bases such as PubMed or CINHAL applicable to population and practice area, along with evidence based clinical practice guidelines. Examples of unacceptable references are Wikipedia, UpToDate, Epocrates, Medscape, WebMD, hospital organizations, insurance recommendations, & secondary clinical databases.

Style

APA 7th edition formatting, citations and references.

Journal articles must be less than 5 years old (2016-2021)

Number of Pages/Words

Unless otherwise specified all papers should have a minimum of 600 words (approximately 2.5 pages) excluding the title and reference pages.

Introductory Paragraph

Best Practice to Implement (centered, bold, and first letter of each word capitalized)

Steps to Implementation (centered, bold, and first letter of each word capitalized)

Literature to Support New Practice (centered, bold and first letter of each word capitalized).

Conclusion (if you choose to use this heading it would be centered, bolded) but is preferred to simply state… In conclusion, at the beginning of the paragraph.
