A rookie patrol officer assists a senior officer and a supervising officer with the arrest of a violent criminal suspect. After a brief struggle, the suspect is subdued, handcuffed, and incapacitated. Although the suspect offers no additional resistance other than abusive words, the senior officer continues to punch the suspect. The supervisor witnesses the punching but does not intervene. What would you do as the rookie officer?
