They are often deviant or resistant to the dominant power structure, feel disenfranchised or disempowered, and then come together to build a common identity. Communication is central to this –and we are interested in how music, fashion, and/or style can be powerful and universal forms of communication. This activity aligns with module outcomes 1, 2, and 3.
