Instructions for History Report
Students will conduct research using the library databases to familiarize themselves with the underpinnings and evolution of children’s literature.
Students must write a 2- page report on the history of children’s literature. The report must include the following:
- When was children’s literature first established
- What was the initial purpose of children’s literature
- Detail the type of children’s literature available in the 18th- 21st century
- The evolution of children’s literature in terms of audience, themes, and transition from Anglo Saxon/ Western perspectives to modern day views
