Dressing for an Interview Discussion
We have talked extensively about a Resume and Interviews. Both of these are gate keepers to a well earned and desired job seeker. There has been a lot of Do/Don’t s and tips to help get an interview or how to behave in an interview. Based on all the information as well as your personal knowledge, what are some of the best advice or things you have learned. Be specific
Here is mine: I think some of the best advice what to do in an interview is to ask questions at the end of the interview.
Questions like, “What do you expect from a new hire in the first 60 days?” “What attracted you to start working for this company?” “What does success look like for a new hire?” Asking these questions get the interviewer a chance to be interviewed. These questions are a great way to end the interview.
Next, Excitement. You have to genuinely show you are excited about interviewing with this company and the potential job position. Smile, it is contagious. Exhibit good body language. Lastly, dress for success. You should dress not for the job, but the next level up. Jeans and t-shirts should not be acceptable no matter what the job is.
