Group Activity is related to the following Case Study from Cases in
Intelligence Analysis: Who Murdered Jonathan Luna? Upon reading the Case Study,
you will work with your group to prepare a response to Structured Analytic
Techniques in Action Technique 1 Chronologies and Timelines Task 1—steps 1 and
2 (pp. 71–72). You should also respond to the Analytic Value Added questions on
page 72.
As you
formulate your timeline and respond to each of the steps, don’t forget to
consider the following.
In your
timeline, include references to Luna’s activities prior to his death and new
information uncovered in the investigation.
Is there
any time that is unaccounted for?
How many
states did Luna drive through on the night of his death? How do we know this?
