Preliminary Literature Review (5 pages, double-spaced): (50 points)
The purpose of this assignment is to define a SPECIFIC gerontology topic that you will conduct literature review and examine its current research development. The paper should clearly explain the topic you will be examining. The paper should include your preliminary literature review of at least three relevant scholarly articles. The recent research is defined as the studies published in 2014 or later. This preliminary literature review paper should minimally include the following:
1) Definition of SPECIFIC gerontology topic: Provide a clear statement about the gerontology topic you will be focusing on to develop a final paper. Make sure to explain what specific aspects of the topic you intend to review.
2) Report of preliminary literature review: Using at least three scholarly sources (e.g., peerreviewed journal article and research report), explain the knowledge about the topic you have gained so far. Each article you reviewed should be briefly summarized with its information of study purpose, methods, and findings.
3) Plan of future literature review: Briefly summarize what the literature you have reviewed so far informed you about the topic you chose to focus. Discuss the recent research development you saw through this preliminary literature review. Report how you plan to expand your literature review for your final paper.
