Identity theft is a big problem. In 2014 there was a victim of identity theft every two seconds according to a study released by Javelin Strategy Research (see reference below). This research also found that $16 billion was stolen from 12.7 million U.S. consumers in 2014, compared with $18 billion and 13.1 million victims a year earlier. Find at least five cases of identity theft. Describe ways you can protect yourself from identity theft. What laws might attach?
