Advertising Essay – A definition of what an op-ed means
Please write a 300 words op-ed (an opinion piece) exploring one of the concepts discussed in the course.
A definition of what an op-ed means and how to write one can be found here. The instructor will provide more details about this assignment during the course. If your op-ed is good enough, the student could eventually submit it to an appropriate vehicle of communication for publication. That would be a great way to get started with public sociology engagement! Tips on how to submit an op-ed to a vehicle and a list of newspaper suggestions can be found here.
And here is the recording of my short presentation on how to write an op-ed.
