Instructions:
This week you will focus on the SWOTT Analysis & Problem Identification of the Strategic Marketing Plan. Please choose an existing company that is easily researchable. You may want to choose the company where you work.
The goal of the marketing plan is to identify a specific problem or area of opportunity within that organization that you will address. Please choose your problem or opportunity first so that your research for section one reflects your chosen problem or opportunity for the organization.
Prepare a paper that is at least 3 pages in length that addresses the following in detail (please feel free to include other applicable information as well):
Section Two: SWOTT Analysis
When completing the SWOTT analysis feel free to include other information as applicable. Please complete this section in a least 1.5 pages.
1. Strengths (Internal Strengths of the Organization)
What does the company do well?
2. Weakness (Internal Weaknesses of the Organization)
What can the company improve?
What should the company avoid? Why?
- 3. Opportunities (External Opportunities)
What are good opportunities facing the company?
4. Threats (External Threats)
- What obstacles does the company face?
- Could your weaknesses threaten your organization? If so, how?
What are competitors doing better than your organization?
5. Trends (What could occur in the next 5-20 years in the industry in which your company operates or to your target market, etc.
- Section Three: Problem Identification or Area of Opportunity
In this section you will focus on the problem or opportunity that your strategic marketing plan will address. This section will emphasize the specific problem or area of opportunity that you identified in the introduction to the plan and the alternatives. Please address the following information in detail (in at least 1.5 pages):
1. Identification of the Problem or Area of Opportunity
- What specific problem (opportunity) did you address and why?
- Explain the problem (opportunity) in detail
- 2. Share and explain in detail at least 3 Alternatives for the Problem (Opportunity)
